Emer attended and played for Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ

He was a former top USTA nationally ranked junior.

He has been a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional for over 15 years and has over 15 years experience as a USTA Tournament Director in both junior and adult section and prize money tournaments as well as 10 years experience as a USTA Certified Official for USTA Eastern Section.

Emer joined Colts Neck Racquet Club (2003-2007); rejoined 2017

Currently he's a tennis pro and USTA Tournament Director at the club.
